Tell us about your sustainable processes?

Our brand is constantly taking steps to improve our environmental and sustainable practices. We support the One Tree Planted program where one tree is planted for every garment sold, helping to reduce the carbon footprint and giving back to our beautiful planet.

All of our garments are shipped in eco friendly compostable packaging from Better Packaging Co and wrapped in tissue paper to fight against single use plastics. We only use natural fibres and often donate or gift remnants of scrap fabrics to local op shops or friends.

Tell us about the people that inspire your designs?

As a designer I have always been inspired by the women who surround me, my mother, my aunties, my beautiful friends. My grandmother and aunties are all seamstresses and over the years have passed on many of their skills to me. My beautiful mother is an artist so I think growing up around a very strong support network of creative and strong women has helped shape me into the designer I am today. I like how Fashion makes you feel and dress more to my mood.

What excites you about the year ahead for your brand?

I’m currently looking into a light relaunch of the brand next year, with a stronger focus on our sustainability. I’m doing a lot of research and working out the direction I would like Mia Sully to head towards for the future and I’m very excited about what’s ahead for my designs and the brand vision.
