JULIE TRAN, FOUNDER & DESIGNER OF AACUTE
Aacute jewellery is designed and made by Julie Tran. She is a multidisciplinary creative who has spent seven years endlessly learning through making and enjoying projects that challenge creativity. She has a particular penchant for colours, earthy textures and good photography angles with a hint of shadowplay.

What designs or creative work has you excited right now?
Learning about typography has me all excited right now. A good typeface can make or break a project. I particularly love the work of Jen Wagner who creates really beautiful fonts!
What excites you about the year ahead?
The potential of digital marketing! It’s been an exciting 12 months transforming the business from doing markets to focusing on ecommerce and creative graphic design work.
What do you love to do most to recharge or relax?
Spending time upskilling on something easy (like learning how to collage!), and spending time with my partner, dog, fam and friends.
What advice do you have for emerging designers?
Be persistent in business and always be open to learning for the rest of your life!
